First of all, the pictures:
Here are a few pictures of our trip to the Franklin Park Conservatory:The girls looking at Chihuly glass balls floating in a Koi pond:
Later that night, my friends Stephanie and Katherine threw me a going away snowflake party where we got together and talked and ate treats and made some really neat 3D snowflakes:
And finally, a shot of Ellie during her preschool program with her teachers Mrs Simmons and Mrs Erbaugh. The kids sang songs and were adorable of course. Afterwards, they gave us glittery ornaments with their pictures in them. I wish we had a tree to hang it on.
Surprisingly the girls are doing well, even though I packed up all their toys. Maybe better in fact, because their imaginations are stretched to make whatever they find a toy.
Chris finally got his offer letter on Thursday and then dickered for more pay and got the final offer Friday morning. Friday afternoon he got in touch with the PR rep who told us that they can't reimburse us for using ABF and they'll have to send in movers if we want the move paid for. Which kind of threw a wrench in all our plans, because of all the boxes we already packed, and the fact that we couldn't arrange anything Friday, so we don't know when the movers will show up.
I've been a bit upset (Chris would say A LOT upset) because we have to unpack (or at least open) all the boxes I've spent the last week packing and relabeling after Moira pulls off the stickers saying what's in which box. BUT, I finally realized that, hey, someone is going to come finish our packing, so I'm over it. Mostly. We're still planning on driving out in the next few days. At least one of us will have to fly back unless the movers let us enlist a friend to watch them pack.
So that's the scoop.
