By Friday we were all feeling better, so we went ice skating with the young single adults--Robert is the branch president which made it free. Moira and Ellie both wore size 7 skates, which was the smallest they had, but three sizes too big for Moira. Big skates or not, the girls were naturals. Moira yelled "WHEE!" as I held her hands and we skated around, then while she held hands with me and a nice leader. My ankles gave out long before her stamina did. Ellie also really took to the ice skating and went around holding hands with Chris and then sharing a walker with cousin Zoey. We had so much fun that we can't wait to go back again soon!
I captured a picture of Moira doing her absolute favorite thing right now: unloading the silverware from the dishwasher and putting it in drawers. Here she is on tip toe to get it in.
And from the other angle, removing cups from her disorganized drawer. She opens this drawer EVERY time we're in the kitchen and runs when she hears the dishwasher opening.
Saturday night we got together with our friends Dave and Kim for yummy Italian food and watching the Miss America pageant. We were really rooting for Miss Washington, who was second runner up. Miss Wisconsin was good, too. Miss Michigan won the crown which baffled us. Those darn celebrity judges never pick the right girl.
There was a freezing rain storm Saturday night which left a two inch coat of ice on everything, and then it uncharacteristically snowed eight inches all day Sunday. Church was cancelled and there was no way we could go out. We had a little lesson at home and then watched Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, which Ellie actually watched without screaming that it was too scary.
Then last night we six adults played games. We laughed unti our stomach hurts, but I didn't get around to writing our weekly letter.
Now I've written and I can start the new week--if we can get out with all the ice.

Oh my gosh, Miss Michigan had such a trashy evening gown. How did she win?
