but are still on Eastern standard time. Which doesn't make sense, because our two weeks in Utah should have given us more of a jet-lag (car lag?) buffer. Today is the first day all week that both girls slept in past 6, and no matter how late I stay up, my eyes pop open long before I want it to be day (3:45 four mornings this week. 5:20 seemed like sleeping in til noon today).
Otherwise, we've been doing well. We looked at houses on Monday, then I went to some on Thursday and Chris and I looked again on Saturday. We think we found one we like, but it will take a lot of cosmetic work and some creative negotiating to make it our home. More on that as it proceeds.
Chris says work is going fine. The best part is having no homework hanging over his head.
Ellie is sleeping in our closet. And loving it. She was waking up Moira at first, and found wandering the dark house in the wee small hours of the morning (Ohio time, of course), so I followed Mom's lead from this summer, laid out a few pillows and tucked her in. Who knew that our apartment in Westborough had so many "bedrooms." (Which is funny because our realtor keeps saying, "the bedrooms are a little small" and I keep thinking, "well, not compared to where Ellie's at now.")
Moira has successfully learned that if she grabs anyone's finger, she can successfully lead them to the kitchen and obtain a 'nack.
The best part of the week was getting to go to the Columbia River Temple not once, but twice. Chris and Shawn did an amazing job coordinating babysitting even at the very last minute and in the throws of a stomach flu. Because of them, we were able to see Emily recieve her endowments on Wednesday, and then have the entire family together in the temple for what may be the last time in a long while. But more on that later too.
We're well and happy, but missing all our friends. Ellie thinks that her "brother Henry" should fly out for a visit. Who else wants to come?
