Watch out, Pottery Barn

Unhappy with my penchant for neatness and order, today Ellie rearranged the front room in Post-modern American Toddler. Let's take a look at the transformation.

The look begins with liberated couch cushions, stray toys, and the errant green balloon:


Notice how the theme "line of balloons and toys" leads the eye to the focal point of the room: stacked cushions near the computer desk--the better to reach the printer buttons, my dears--in a purposefully wobbly stack. To achieve the look she jumped off the pile an expert 14 times:

Here is the master ooo-ing her creation. Above are the remnants of a failed "G is for Green" preschool day, mother's addition, but one that will have to stay until our designer grows another 6 feet:

And finally, off she goes to re-arrange the basement. Our house has never been more stylish:

I wouldn't say failed!! Kassie told us G is for green and Green Eggs and Ham. You're super creative!

love it! i should be posting a blog about just how completely disorganized and toy filled my house is. i'm hoping for befoe and after pics. will you be redecorating after your designer goes to bed?
