7 things meme

Jenica tagged me for a meme, but instead of writing 7 things about me, here are seven things about total strangers that I lifted from other blogs. Enjoy:

1. When I was a child I was terrified of some very weird things. Like band-aids and mayonaise. And dogs. I’ve since gotten over the mayo phobia but I still hate the way band-aids smell and I am still leery of certain dogs.

2. I will not under any circumstance stand on or near the drain in a shower/bathtub. I want to gag just thinking about it.

3. I have never physically attended college, but wrote every paper, in every course, for my little sister for her first two years. I earned 20-something (imaginary) credits. She earned a degree.

4. I AM NOT OVERWEIGHT. I AM CHOCOLATE ENRICHED.

5. I have been in the newspaper 3 times. Twice I wrote in to the editorial, and once when someone took a picture of my doing a handstand. (I'm still mad at them, though, because they said that the person doing the handstand was another girl when it was, in fact, me.)

6. I’m a tad too thrifty. (This one was my husband’s suggestion.) I fail to see where it falls into the “weird” category, but I’ll humor him. At night, when I’m removing my mascara, I use a nice soft tissue to wipe off the excess from my eyes. And since there’s a whole lot of clean tissue left, I use it again the next night, and so on. And then I stash the gently used tissue loose in the drawer. Until it’s all used up. Which should take a couple of weeks. My husband was horrified by this shortly after we were married, and as a compromise, I now keep my mascara tissue in a ziploc in the bathroom drawer. Which to me, is a waste of a perfectly good ziploc. (And if you’re reading this, Fiddledaddy, don’t think that I don’t know that you sometimes sneak into my drawer to replace my mascara tissue with a clean one. So, in my book, that makes you the freak.)

7. I have a speech peculiarity where I make up words. I think it is a sign of genius.

Aren't people fascinating?

We miss you! Henry asks about Ellie everyday. He told me that the monsters in your house scared her away. Now we know the real reason you left.

too funny. but seriously, you are quirky enough all on your own to come up with your own list. i can unfortunately identify with the mascara thing though. ;-D

Love it. The list is exactly why I love blogging. It makes me sad that I had to choose between creating a private blog and panicking about anything personal I wrote on my public one.

I love your blog (I found the link on Stephanie's) and look forward to getting to know you through it. We can be good friends, even though we've never met in person. Another thing I love about blogging...
