And a picture of the girls with Grandma and Grandpa Orton (Ellie's daddy's daddy):
and here was my project of the week--matching twirly skirts:
Ellie twirls
An arabesque
And the finale--is that hair on Moira's head?
I used an online pattern that I found here. Aren't they fun? It would have been a lot easier if I hadn't added the tulle overlay, but that ended up as my favorite part, so I'm glad I ripped out the seams a few times until I got the finished product.
Finally, I got a good laugh from this "news article". I especially like the "had to practice the piano for like 20 hours a day" part. Like Mom always said I would, now that I'm all grown up I wish you'd made me keep practicing!!
