BBNHHHHH V HI INUNN010.
which means: we learned that, unlike in OH-IO, below grade square footage is counted in the total square footage.
which means: we looked at houses that were 589 above ground square footage and another 589 under ground. one house had an outdoor staircase connecting to the basement where there was a bathroom with a urinal but no toilet (in a house? Are you kidding me? is that counted as a 1/4 bath? an eighth?) and that was actually one of the better houses (because of the hardwood floors next to the urinal). scary
which means: we're still looking. but in a different area. with different search parameters (ie: at least one full bathroom) and at apartments.
Tell me I'm not the only one intimidated and out of my league with the thought of buying/owning a house. And also, a note to self: no more HGTV. I kept thinking "if we knocked out this wall . . ."

so i should be thankful we don't have cable then. though i did buy a few items for the house this week...kitchen island...china hutch...a few knocked out walls would be nice!
i can't believe y'all leave in dec...makes me sad.
isn't house huntin' fun? in a not-at-all pulling your hair out, getting your hopes up, and then dashed down sort of way???
don't settle. and don't think that chris will have the time to do a huge honey-do list either. if he's anything like john...
Ugh! I Hate house hunting! It stresses me out so much! I guess it's a good think we'll be moving to an apartment (although apartment hunting is just another form of torture!)
