This will be fast

Get your goggles on because we're rushing through the last month!
Along with swimming and beaches for everyone in California, Chris and I went with my younger brother and sister to Knott's Berry Farm where Chris was affectionately nicknamed "Chris Norris: the Line Nazi" in a saga that will never end. Let's just say that if you are a thirteen year old and someone you met once earlier in the day is ahead of Chris in the line, do NOT try to cut in front of him. Suddenly my mild mannered husband was upholding California law (not kidding) by enforcing "No cuts."

And my parents took all of us to Sea World. Don't get too close, Ellie.

Chris left us shortly after this picture was taken. He caught a plane back home to get some work done before he headed off to a fabulous, all-expenses paid trip to Lindau, Germany for some engineering R&R--listening to Nobel Laureates talk about their research. (As well as some sightseeing on a gorgeous German island). I headed to Utah with my parents.

Things were all business when the girls and I drove to Utah. My brother Jeff was getting married and we had a shower to throw for our newest sister-in-law!

Moira sporting some food. (Plus, with Moi, Jackie, Mom and Nana, that's four generations!)
And Moira with the bride.
It was a very tasteful shower.

After the shower came the actual wedding and reception, which were harried enough that I didn't get my camera out. Then we passed around a summer cold and (oh how I wish I had pictures of this) Ellie turned four.

It was a simple day, really, a celebration to the last moments of being three, with lots of presents, a trip to the Kangaroo Zoo and McDonalds with just me and Ellie, then water balloons with Moi and cousin Benjamin then strawberry pie instead of cake. When she finally blew out the candles, then she was four. Happy birthday, cute girl.

Back home just a few days ago. Chris flew in after an impressive 36 hours of travel and then picked me up from the airport after I survived 1 1/2 hours with the girls. It's a toss up to decide who was more jetlagged.

We're adjusting to being home and to the quiet house. Thanks to everyone who made the trip so fun!

That's a long time on the road. I don't think I could do it with three kids. One week without Rick if I had my mom. But to do a shower, wedding and reception on top of that . . . wow. Reba rocks.

I'm cracking up at that "tasteful shower" picture. So funny!

It's always fun to be with family.

I love the goggles photo--so funny! Sounds like crazy busy travel but for good fun things. Enjoy being home!

What a trooper you are, Reba. I'm sure everyone was glad you made the trip so that you and the girls could be at all the special events.

Sounds like you had fun! I was wondering where you have been. I am glad you got to spend so much time with your family. Oh and I would be a line Nazi with Chris too. I hate it when kids cut in line!
