Moira has developed a love of bugs.
Actually, she has continued a love of bugs. She's always had really good fine motor skills, so as early as ten months, she was catching beetles and tasting them. Now she's better about not eating them, I think, but she still bends down and catches potato bugs and ants (which are really small, by the way, so I'm pretty impressed she can pick them up). Lately she's added daddy long legs to her catching repertoire, but this week was the tops. She brought me bees! Two of them. Granted, they were dead, but naturally or by her little fingers, I'm just not sure. Luckily, she hasn't gotten any yellow jackets. And so far she's left the enormous spiders in our backyard alone.

she and sam could be GOOD FRIENDS. i find him with the most creepy critters in our yard. he holds them up and says, "yook, mommy" and i try not to squeal like a girl...
wow, now that's talent to catch all those critters. my neice catches live flies! mr. miyagi's prodigy I suppose?
Girl's sportin' some serious skills! ;)
So cute! Sarah is the same way. Last summer, every morning, the first thing she wanted to do was go outside and look for bugs. She still does that when we go for walks. She'll say, "Stop Mom, I see a rollie pollie lady bug!" Moira looks so cute in her tutu, and Ellie so cute at ballet class.
eww! that must be fun...
