Odds and ends

We took off for our very first weekend away Friday night to go to the BYU-WSU game in Seattle. My Aunt Chris and Uncle Shawn watched our kids. Moira and Ellie had such a good time. They came back with all sorts of stories about Aubrey and Ashton and Uncle Shawn who slept on the couch near Ellie so she wouldn't be scared. Moira also told me all about the big, nice dog who said bark and then she told me again that it was a nice dog. A big nice dog. Ellie carried around a stuffed dog and a stuffed cat all day who were Clark and Ella Bella. It was nice to know they didn't miss us too much.

Meanwhile, Chris and I made the mistake of wearing our BYU sweatshirts to the away game. We got some funny trash talk, such as "Where are all your kids?" which would have been so funny if we'd thought to say "At home with the other wives." Too bad we weren't quick witted enough.

The game was a nailbiter, which is saying something coming from me. WSU scored a touch down with 2 seconds left on the clock. If it hadn't been for their unsportsman like conduct in the endzone, I'm sure we would have gone into overtime. I'm pretty glad we didn't go into overtime because some of the purple clad fans around us were getting a little heated.

In other news, Moira can now open doors. Which means she can come in and help herself to the mascara while I'm showering.

I'm pretty impressed she got it so close to her eyes. This is a girl who pays attention.

Oh, you totally should have said that! Or you could have said something like, "All 13 of them are in the van. They'll be fine, thanks."

I thought that BYU played UW.

Yeah, it was UW not WSU, but we know what you meant!
