Since the dictionary's open

There's an ad on Yahoo radio that goes something like this

"I'm announcer man and I can use my deep voice to make anything sound exciting and enticing. Like this. Pustule . . . Coagulate . . . Humidor"

Have you heard this? All the the single words are echo-ey and the first syllable is really explosive. Chris wanders around the house saying "Humidor" with the U drawn out and dramatic and Ellie, our little collector of words has started saying it too (in this really cute "announcer voice" with the u drawn out and dramatic).

That's ok, really, except we had NO idea what it meant.

Curious?

humidor (n)

an airtight box with constant humidity used to store cigars and tobacco.

Sweet. Just what we want our four year old saying.

I did know what a humidor was- so maybe that can make up for my troglodite ignorance.

Oh I see, that last one wasn't really for me. But now I can add "humidor" to my Word of the Week column.

That's funny. I guess there are worse things that your four year old could be saying, so maybe humidor isn't too bad ;)

Heather, that cracked me up!

I'm so glad our girls are in the same dance class. It will be fun!

I think teaching class will be a very good experience for you. A few times a week will be nice because it gives you ample flexibility with the other commitments in your life, but yet you can also have some "grown up" time where you can step into another role besides wife/mother.

See you on Tuesday!
